What we do

UKOSA advocates the use of Referendums to hold politicians accountable. Referendums are a corner of democracy.

The referendum is a cornerstone of direct democracy. It gives the voting public the right to vote with 'Yes' or 'No' to the issue or topic.

Our current Project

Referendums in South Africa

UKOSA, a civil rights advocacy group, is actively conducting awareness campaigns about the Referendums Act in South Africa. Given the numerous corruption cases within government circles, it has become evident that citizens must take the initiative to hold politicians accountable by exercising their political power and voting for a brighter future for the nation.

Currently, many Black communities remain unaware of this crucial democratic right enshrined in the South African Constitution, largely because politicians have historically sought to obscure this information in order to evade accountability.

Any form of donation is welcome for us to achieve this. We need stationery,  branding, vehicles, laptops (used), cellphone (used) and money.
